Hearne High School
Hearne ISD purchased an existing Wal-Mart facility that was adjacent to its campus and had been shut down. The existing high school was consistently damaged by flooding and had to be replaced. The design utilized 47,000 square feet in the existing Wal-Mart building with an additional 5,600 square feet of new construction. The final result is a high school facility that alleviates the problems of the existing school building and provides a spacious learning environment for up to 500 students. If you never knew it was a Wal-Mart before, you wouldn’t believe it today.
