Hearne 2006 Building Program
Following the success of the new High School, Hearne ISD set forth to improve the quality of the remainder of their educational space. The design provided a new 85,000 square foot elementary building that accommodates Pre-K through 6th grade from two existing buildings which were over 50 years old. Directly behind the newly constructed high school, a 25,000 square foot junior high school building was constructed to replace another existing building over 65 years old. Connected to the high school, a new 36,000 square foot addition was designed to include a new competition gymnasium, locker rooms, and band hall. On the same property, which is adjacent to the existing administration building and now contains all of the District’s educational spaces, new practice fields, playgrounds, a walking track, and softball field were designed.
